Liberal AI military systems are offensive, not defensive

When a military got the option to create an effective defensive system, in the form of cobalt nuclear weapons, but still decides to develop AI weapons, then one should interpret this as an act of aggression.

The ultra-liberal billionaires of Big Tech are crystal clear about why they want to create Artificial General Intelligence (AGI): they want to change the entire world and re-create it in their own ultra-liberal image. This utopianism presupposes a new round of liberal imperialism. The first round was the imperialism of the “liberal” British Empire, cf the book Empire by Niall Ferguson. The second round was the economic neo-imperialism of the neoliberals (and neocons), cf When Corporations Rule the World by David Korten and The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein. The AI imperialism of Big Tech is the third round, cf The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff.

(Many socialists are very good at describing the neoliberal corporate enemy, they are just wrong when arguing that Big Government and woke values are the solution.)

I don’t remember the source, but I was surprised to read that a group of American soldiers was told that “this is not the army of your forefathers”. Meaning that the new Pentagon under Dinos and Rinos is a woke military, engaging in endless force projection abroad. Trump tried to reverse this, which scared “Democrats” so much that they ordered the military to stand down, revealing how afraid they are of their own people.

Defense secretary orders 60-day stand-down to confront extremism in the military

Amazon is ultra-liberal, so Bezos is not standing down in the propaganda domain of 4th- and 5th-generation warfare. The corporate Deep State loves to merge with Microsoft and Amazon. MIT Technology Review:

Meet America’s newest military giant: Amazon

Microsoft Vendors Win a $7.6 Billion Deal for Pentagon Software

Microsoft is at the moment not on the same propaganda-entertainment level as libertine Amazon, so conservatives will view Microsoft as the lesser evil.

All authoritarian regimes and all conservative states have reason to fight the bellicose AI imperialism of Big Tech, since it’s an existential threat to them.

Don’t be surprised if globalist Big Tech cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle/Bellevue get attacked from the conservative south of Latin America, the conservative Asia or the domestic heartland of the US. Though the attack will most likely not be as obvious as a military invasion, since that’s not how one fights a 4th- and 5th-generation war.

Don’t expect corporate billionaires to roll over when these cowards can hide abroad, in New Zealand or on a pacific island. But will they be safe there when SF soldiers from authoritarian or non-Western regimes try to attack them preemptively in the AI arms race? FYI, black Africans can snipe too. SOFREP:

When authoritarian regimes copy and improve TrackingPoint scopes and give them to proxy combatants, the world may not be so safe any longer if you happen to be a Big Tech billionaire.

Is it safe to work for Amazon when the company is a military target in Cold War 2?
