Cyborg neurolinks and bio-surveillance

If talk about cyborgs seems far-fetched to you, check the NeuraLink program of Elon Musk:

Developing ultra high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers

Biological colonization is also part of 4IR tech (fourth industrial revolution technologies), as reported by Eleonore Pauwels:

China pins its hopes on beating US in race for bio-intelligence supremacy

Eleonore Pauwels is the Research Fellow on Emerging Cybertechnologies at the Centre for Policy Research at United Nations University, focusing on artificial intelligence. She is also director of the AI Lab at the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars.

She writes in the article above that:

“Beijing invests heavily in the hope that AI combined with genomics will give it a vital edge over America”

“Technology could give rise to massive shift in global power and pave the way for forms of ‘cyber-colonisation’”

But it’s morally irresponsible to downplay the danger when technologies are already able to transform the brains of human beings:

Paralysed woman moves robot with her mind

When millions of scientists are working on 4IR tech we can never know when there will be a real breakthrough that catapults us into the realm of full transhumanism, especially if we live in a culture that already accepts this idea.
